After the new ruling from the ACU any 250cc two stroke rider in the International race has the option to ride in either MX2 or MX1. Any rider already entered on a two stroke in MX1 can contact event Secretary Gary Ford if they want to change classes.

Pauls – “I’m very excited to race again at the Be Wiser Hawkstone International. 2017 was my first year to the circuit and I really enjoyed the race and I’m looking forward to coming back and having some good, strong races in 2018.”

Next up Jake Nicholls #45, Jake had a tough season after sustaining a hip injury early in the season but we are pleased to announce he will be racing at Hawkstone Park on the 11th Feb
Jake – “I’m happy to be back at the Be Wiser Hawsktone International in 2018. The last one was a good opener into the season for me and the level of competition looks even better for next year, so it should be a great event.
It will be my first competitive outing on the Buildbase Honda too which is cool. It will be very handy to get some feel with the bike in a race situation prior to the start of the Championships.”
Pleased to announce that Josiah Natzke on the Dave Thorpe Buildbase Honda has signed up to ride the Hawkstone International on the 11th Feb. He finished 6th overall in the British MX2 class in 2017
Josiah – “I’ve only been to Hawkstone Park once for the Maxxis and it was dry. I know in the past the International has been wet so it will be a bit different in that sand.
I am really looking forward to my first outing with the Buildbase Honda team and we get to see how I do against some of the GP guys.”
The next big name to sign up is Brit Tommy Searle on the Dixon Racing Team. Tommy had a tough 2017 season plagued by injuries and it will be great to see him at Hawkstone back in fighting form

It is a great track and I can’t wait to be there as it’s always one of the biggest races in the UK. It’s always great to race in front of the British fans, bring it on!”
After a stunning performance at the MX of Nations we are delighted to announce that Max Anstie will be racing at the Hawkstone International on 11th Feb 2018 on the Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racingteam
Max – “I love coming to Hawkstone to race in front of my British fans. There are not many times in the year I can race in my home country.
I’m looking forward to 2018 and this race gives me a good indication to see where we are at.”

Herlings to race Hawkstone!
HIMX are delighted to announce that they have signed factory Red Bull KTM rider Jeffrey Herlings for the Be Wiser Hawkstone International on 11th February 2018.
Herlings is a big fan of the famous Hawkstone Park circuit and missed the International in 2017 due to other racing commitments. One of the fastest riders in the World will make an appearance at the 2018 event in February.
Herlings had a fantastic season and finished runner-up behind Antonio Cairol in his debut season in the MX1 class. He is hot property across the world and it will be fantastic to see him again at Hawkstone Park.
